I don't know that, but I'd bet heavily that 50/50 calls would go against us right now. It's not a conspiracy, it's just how the brain works.

I don't think I would qualify Scheifele as a shoot-first player. His career high is 206 shots on goal (last season when he scored 42). For his career he slots out at around 200 shots per season. I would say he is more of a judicious shooter; shooting when he believes he has the highest percentage of getting a goal instead of just firing a puck at net when he could.

I would like him to shoot more and have more of a shoot first mentality as he has a great shot.

I’d bet on it too. But Vegas has been anything but disciplined. Very blatant penalties. I could easily see them taking another.
