Why would they sign if they're going to be exposed? what incentive is that?
What kinda message is that to a player? "hey we want to sign you because we think Faulk is more valuable."
This theory is highly unlikely.
It's SO highly unlikely that you're going it's going to happen in the next few weeks.
Dahlbeck is an RFA, all Carolina has to do is qualify him and it's virtually a done deal.
Also, both of these players are marginal NHL'ers who would actually be quite lucky to find a full-time role on an expansion team. Or, Vegas takes a Canes forward and they just stay here without having really earned that roster spot. That's a sweet deal for a tweener who would otherwise be searching hard to find a one-way deal.
But I dunno, maybe you're just the smartest guy in the room here and Carolina is going to expose Faulk in the expansion draft because reasons.
