Potvin (although he certainly wasn't in his prime in Vancouver)

Edit: Watching a Burrows-Kesler-Smyl line would be the best.

* yes, that's young, pre-boston neely. if anyone could get that manchild going, it would be the sedins.

** the 31 year old larionov that worked so beautiful with bure during his rookie season

*** he became better defensively later on, but i'm going with the young, mobile ohlund before his eye injury. maybe the best possible version of edler?

**** if hamhuis can iron out casual kev, can you imagine how good oopsie jovo would be with hamhuis behind him?

Taking players at their peak as Canucks (so no Messier, Neely, Larionov, etc.) probably something like this:

Sedin-Sedin-Linden
Naslund-Gradin-Bure
Bertuzzi-Kesler-Smyl
Tanti-Sundstrom-Mogilny

Ohlund-Lidster
Snepsts-Lumme
Hamhuis-Reinhart
Jovonovski

Luongo
McLean

I'd swap Linden and Bure (Bure pretty much has to be the first-line RW in my opinion) but other that this is pretty much spot on.

The all time team according to line lethalness:

Naslund-Morrison-Bertuzzi
Sedin-Sedin-Burrows/Adams-Linden-Bure tied
Smyl-Gradin-Williams/Fraser

(Don't know if Tanti-Sundstrom-Skriko played together or not, so I'll throw them in as an honourable mention)

How Pavel Bure isn't #1 RW or Mogilny who played 5 years with us doesnt even make the team on so many of your rosters is beyond me.

Agree on Mogilny. On Bure you are overthinking it, it is more about people matching up lines than about players ranked by skill.

Sedin-Sedin, who is the best fit for that line. IMHO Henrik is the 1C on this team and so takes the 1st line, after that I'd look for a winger - Linden is a better stylistic fit and Bure and Linden needs a spot.

Naslund - Bertuzzi pairing worked, so add a centre.

Mogilny - Bure.

3 pairings, fill in the blanks and arrange them however you want.
