This is over valuing Hughes value by a large margin. The offer of Horvat and the others would be silly to pass up for Hughes. That trade had the makings of another lindros deal. We're not trading Hughes for Horvat and a pile of crap...
If you want Hughes it starts with EP, then you add.
so edmonton would think about it, if offered for mcdavid? for draisaitl? This is over valuing Hughes value by a large margin. The offer of Horvat and the others would be silly to pass up for Hughes. That trade had the makings of another lindros deal.
Hughes and McDavid have the same value?? I think their fans would accept the package for Drai though.so edmonton would think about it, if offered for mcdavid? for draisaitl?

It’s comments like these that detail a thread and make opposing fans mad.
Your Gm would be fired on the spot if he declined:
Horvat
Boeser
Juolevi
1oth OA
For
1st overall.
Just a stupid and ridiculous statement.
You also have Connor mcDavidI would give Draisatl for this package, so you can damn well be sure that NJ would jump on this like a Stripper on a 20 dollar bill.
You also have Connor mcDavid
The Devils dont have Connor McDavid
Make sense now?
Homer much. No interest in trading Pettersson for J Hughes or gutting our team for 1 guy who hasn't played an NHL game yet. The fact you think Bratt is better than Boeser is laughable. Happy to keep the young players we have and build around them.LOL
I wouldn't trade Nico for the entire package of tunnel vision + 10OA + that bust Juolevi. I would even trade Bratt for Boeser 1 for 1.
I think Hughes will be more effective as a winger in the NHL.Kakko over Hughes would be similar to Laine over Matthews.
fun to talk about leading up to the draft (for all NON-DJD fans), but the potential franchise Centerman goes first, and deservedly so.
I'm sure there are not many Devil's fans wanting Kakko over Hughes.
Why? I've never heard this opinion. Not that I'm a huge prospects guy but it seems a rare opinion.I think Hughes will be more effective as a winger in the NHL.
Horvat and Boeser are studs, the 10th pick will be a solid player as well. The wild card is Julovi, is he a dud or can he be developed into a player. This deal would turn NJ into a playoff team as soon as next season and pay dividends for years. Cole Caufield or Payton Krebs are likely there to be chosen.
Hall Horvat Boeser
Coleman Hirshier Palmieri
Wood Zajac Zacha
Quenville Mcleod Bratt
Andy Greene Erik Karlsson( you have the money so this trade makes this the time)
Vatanen Severson
Butcher Santini
Julovi and the 10th pick are gravy
That trade would be a wet dream for NJ and it would never be offered.
That line up is mediocre af and probably not enough to get Hall to stay.
I think he’s kinda small and weak, and not good enough defensively to be a center. Why? I've never heard this opinion. Not that I'm a huge prospects guy but it seems a rare opinion.
Isnt that what "they" said about Petey?I think he’s kinda small and weak, and not good enough defensively to be a center.
EP is good at defense and although he’s skinny, he has a 6’2 frame to grow into.Isnt that what "they" said about Petey?
before he played his first game in the NHL "they" were rampant in saying Petey was small, weak and couldnt play defense. He has proven he is now decent on the defensive end, although growing into his frame is another matter, he may be 6'2, but his body structure will make it hard for him to grow into it, he is very thin by nature and will always be considered "wiry"EP is good at defense and although he’s skinny, he has a 6’2 frame to grow into.
Umm what? No one thought he was bad at defense.before he played his first game in the NHL "they" were rampant in saying Petey was small, weak and couldnt play defense. There were all sorts of posts from keyboard scouts that he couldnt play defence, would have to be on the wing his first few seasons to learn defense. Pronman was one of the scribes who questioned his play in his own zone. He has now made numerous comments that he was wrong and Petey is much better than he thought.Umm what? No one thought he was bad at defense.
Really because I followed EP quite closely in his SHL season and only heard people laud about his defence. People were definitely worried about his size but I think he was on the ice for around ~10 goals against all that season. There were all sorts of posts from keyboard scouts that he couldnt play defence, would have to be on the wing his first few seasons to learn defense.
