Don't like trading away draft picks needlessly but Dalpe is a good young player and the Canucks needed to improve their center depth at the AHL level.

Interesting, I've always liked Dalpe, way more than Tockin (FA signing), that's for sure.

Utica's scoring punch is - in a word - poopy. (Yes...poopy)

Dalpe has been a consistent scorer in the AHL over the past 3 seasons. I think this is purely a move to give The Comets some help.

A pick for waiver fodder. Not sure what to think. Both have played in the NHL but can't say either improve this team.

Don't like moving picks to improve the farm.

Talent Analysis

A fine offensive talent, Dalpe has done enough to impress management with his scoring ability. He is an excellent playmaker who has the uncanny ability to shoot just as well as pass, making for a deceptive forward who is sure to rack up points in whatever league he plays in.

Future

Dalpe will most likely serve as the Carolina Checkers’ top offensive winger next season but has a chance to make the Hurricanes bottom six due to a lack of scoring options.
