I think he should been called up a long time ago personally.

He’s strong in front of the net. He deserved a call up months ago. I think him and Foegele have a legit claim to make the Canes next season.

He looks decent at this level. He’s not going to be some super stud, but he plays the game like an NHL’er and can produce enough to justify a roster spot.

I remember watching him when he played for Gatineau. Thought he looked lazy and wouldn't amount to much let alone would he make the NHL.

After watching him tonight, he definitely proved me wrong.

Unlike most players on the Hurricanes he seems to like playing in close to the goalie and making their lives hard. Most canes float along the boards and the point. ("prime scoring areas") That fact alone makes him very valuable to this franchise. As THH said though he's not going to be a world beater but he should justify his spot.
