Did Matt and Jack just say Isiah Thomas had a great eye for talent as a GM?!?! Ummm WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?! Did you MISS his entire Knicks tenure as living proof that he is one of the worst execs all time in NBA history and that we dodged a major bullet with him not lasting here too long?

He didn't do too bad in Toronto.

His three first round picks were: Damon, Camby and McGrady. For an expansion team handcuffed by the NBA's idiotic draft limitations on them that's a pretty good result.

And, yes, his Knicks tenure speaks for itself. But I tend to think of the Knicks along the same lines as the Leafs: unfixable, regardless of who is in charge.

Clarkson torching the Raptors. It just always seems that when you combine Clarkson and Toronto, you always get a ****ing nightmare.

It's not like Isiah traded for Andrea Bargnani.

Grunwald

Now Phil Jackson thinks there's something in him. Like, ummm...

Now some scrub named Rod Black at C is playing well against us too. Seriously, making these scrubs look like Wilt and Kobe.

Not sure what you mean.

But Kobe once scored 81 in a game against Toronto.

I assume the 100 refers to the NBA single game record set by Wilt Chamberlain.

Indeed, he said we're making them look like Kobe and Wilt. :P

I like how quiet it gets once the team actually shows up defensively and offensively.

All with JV sitting too.

It's just the Lakers. Besides, if we wanted JV to fit the system, why the **** would we bulk him up and take away all his quickness? :help:

It's not just the Lakers. They were destroying us earlier. JV sits down, the defense gets better, the offense gets more movement, the team puts the pressure on and the Lakers collapse.

All you guys are obsessed about JV and Casey, but he's regressed more then he's progressed this season. He rebounds less, he's gotten better looks at the basket because he's been dunking more but defensively he's getting exposed constantly.. And it's just because of our perimeter defense, its because he can't help properly on a screen and roll.

Adding to our system... we either look really, really dominant (like right now) or completely godawful (like a lot of this season). No middle ground.

And why does he seem to have that issue this season more than last year?

He's too ****ing slow! He's bulked up too much. The organization has basically Luke Schenned him.

No, his reaction time is down. He's hesitating, he's thinking and not reacting. Watch him run the floor, he's not that slow. He's just thinking too much defensively and it's costing him.
