Wiggins wants to play for any team that wants him. hes just saying the right things. Durant was a raps fan growing up, whyd he sign an ext and not sign with Toronto as a UFA!!?!?!

He likes OKC?

I'm sure if Durant was drafted by the Raps, he wouldn't leave the first chance he got.

why cant we just make a trade for wiggins and give up nothing like we have done when trading guys like vince carter? ive also seen other teams do stupid trades..for once in our franchise why can't we be on the other end of one of those dumb trades? if wiggins wants to be here then he will be here for sure when he's 24 years old so thats great news

In your nightmares
anyone else think Miami screwed up in releasing Mike Miller? He imho was clutch and a main reason they won the championship. He was clutch in the finals and vs. indiana

This would be my one trade to help the future of the Raptors

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nx9e83n

To Toronto- Anthony Bennett SF/PF, Tristian Thompson PF, Brandon Knight PG, Charlie Villaneuva PF (Expiring Contract) and Rodney Stuckey PG (Expiring contract)
-Get 2 expiring contracts in Charlie V and Stuckey. Also get 2 young Canadians with great potential in soon to be Small Forward Anthony Bennett and Power forward Tristian Thompson. Also get young point guard/Combo guard in Brandon Knight who would get a lot of minutes at the point position as long as he can become a better distributor. This would help the Raptors tank for year and hopefully net us Andrew Wiggens, who would have to slide into the Shooting guard position which I think he is capable of in a few years.

To Detroit- Rudy Gay SF, Kyle Lowry PG and Minnesota 2014 1st round pick
- Get great SF in Rudy Gay so Josh Smith can play PF and Drummond can move to the 5. Get a great point guard in Kyle Lowry who will add some toughness to the position and learn some great things from Billups since they are similar players. Also get a 1st round pick next year.

To Cleveland- Kevin Love PF/C
- Get the guy they have been trying to get for years. Also look great next to Kyrie and Bynum. Give up the same package they offered to Minny for Love at the draft in Bennett, Thompson, and 2014 1st round pick

To Minnesota- Greg Monroe C, Demar Derozan SG and Cleveland 2014 1st round pick

- Get great young players to help build around. Monroe is a franchise center or can play PF due to his great playmaking ability. Get a solid scorer in Derozan who would look good next to playmaker Rubio. Give up Love who was destined to leave in a few years.

TORONTO

PG- Brandon Knight
SG- Terrance Ross
SF- Anthony Bennett
PF- Tristian Thompson
C - Jonas Valancuinas

BENCH
PG- DJ Augustin/Buycks
SG- Rodney Stuckey
SF- Landry Fields
PF- Amir Johnson/Quincy Acy
C - Aaron Gray

I believe Ujiri is playing this season out, that is why he signed Augustin/TH on short term deals, he wants to see if the Raps can make the 8th seed, and I wouldn't be surprised if we do well. We're just pieces away, Ujiri knows this.

Demar
JV
Lowry
Gay
Ross

The pieces are there... Just gotta build on that.

I agree, people are blind sided if they think this core is terrible enough to get us a bottom 3 pick. we have a potential franchise C in val. decent PG in lowry who needs to be used better. very good wing players in ross and demar. plus a potential star player in rudy. I wouldn't be surprised if they compete for the 8th seed.

we have some good future pieces in place and we just need to add to it. we aren't as far off as some people say.

you know if he did want to tank. I am sure he would move rudy and demar.

not one person has ever said this team as currently constructed will net us a top 3 pick.

Nobody thinks this core is terrible enough to be bottom 3, that's kind of the problem. They compete for 7th/8th, then what? Lose to Miami/New York/Brooklyn? People are tired of POSSIBLY making the playoffs and then getting eliminated in 4-5 games. Many would rather move Gay, Lowry, DeMar and then focus on building the team around Valanciunas + 2014 pick. The Raps would not only cut a bunch of salary in the process, but also help gear up for a pretty nice free agency class to help fill some of the holes.

Also Rudy is not a potential star player, cut that stuff out man. Rudy is an above average 3 who makes elite money. Why are the Raps paying 27% of the team's salary to a player who possibly helps them compete for the 8th spot in the weaker conference? It's dumb money.

what has been argued and what i completely agree with is that the core we have is not good enough to compete for a championship does Ujiri want to win? or does he want to just get us into the playoffs? from his attitude it appears he wants to win, but will see what other moves he does

yeah and also we should point out to the people that dont watch that much basketball, its not like hockey, when you squeek in as an 8 seed you go out quickly 98% of the time
