Like many last generation media and entertainment powers - they the IOC and its partners really haven't learned how to market in the 21st century yet. The youtube clip bans are the most prominent issue here. Why would the IOC want to continue to frustrate the fans of its events but not allowing them to see what's happening at the games. I'm not saying that whole replays of events should be allowed on youtube - but clips of important plays that fans would like to see again would be huge. I guess the IOC is waiting for Google to partner up with them.
Currently they are protecting their product from the fans that want to see it which is insane
