G- the first period. showed that this team still comes out trying and can be a threat when other teams slack
- chased Mrazek in the 1st
- Zemgus was okay after getting bulldogged into the ice
- Ennis played hard all game, even gave the Wings a scare in the 3rd

B- Hodgson got himself benched in the 2nd after another weak showing

U- blowing a 3-0 lead

Your hatred for Hodgson is really clouding your judgement. He was fine. He made some nice plays. I have no clue why he got benched

Who's judgement is clouded???

The poster who 99% of his posts are about Hodgson.

He's played much worse at times this season than yesterday. Performance wasn't great but he wasn't putrid like he was in other games

I guess you mean me, altho you exaggerated by about 90%. :)

Not like I ignore when he plays well either, I've defended Hodgson a few times this season. He is having a terrible season, had a bad game and was stapled to the bench halfway through the 2nd.

G: Scoring more than the dreaded 2 goals or less. Zemgus is solid in both ends of the game.
B: Team defense and transition offense, Cody Hodgson of course
U: Having a 3 goal lead and giving up 6 goals.

G - taking advance of other teams lapses

B - I started watching right after we made it 3-0
the complete lack of any puck possession in the second period

U - everything after the 1st period
Tyson taking one right off the face, is down and bleeding and of course, Detroit scores

side note:
I know the Sabres are trying to finish last but does Nolan get fired after that happens. The team looked totally unprepared for what they knew was coming in the second period.

After the first, my wife said "Well they have to win once in a while"........

Ahhh why would she do that?

Once during an important soccer match my mother-in-law adjusted the kitchen blinds at half-time. Of course the team blew a 2-1 lead to lose 4-2. Of course.

It's like they don't understand jinxing a team at all.

I keep reminding myself: at the beginning of the season I said I wanted to be the 30th best team in the league, but for our kids to show well during the process.

Well, here we are. Both of those, so far, look pretty good.

Ennis, Girgs, Zads, Risto, Des, Myers seem to be developing well along their respective arcs. I would like to have listed Hodgson there, but he looks like the odd man out.

But damn if these losses don't sting.
