Kuznetsov's one handed chip pass to Ovechkin and the toe drag through the legs threw all 4 penalty killers out of position.

You're right, if Kuznetsov doesn't chip that puck to Ovi, Sharks go the other way on an odd-man rush.

Right move to make on someone like Vlasic but you can see Burns (last 1 back) already committing himself to Ovechkin and disregarding the other players rushing up the ice

Burns doesn't face a guy as dangerous as Ovechkin very often. With all the guys on the ice for the Caps, Connolly is the least threatening in general, but he was in the best position to score.
