I think we may have to adjust to this being the new normal for this team. They aren’t going to pace their opponent at ES like Carolina or Florida, especially under Tippett’s system. They’re going to play somewhat frustrating hockey and let their skill take over.

It is what it is. Sometimes the 80s teams did this. It’d be a loose game and then all of a sudden they’d be up by 3 goals due to their skill.

Also it’s good that now we have the luxury of mixing up the top 6 if they aren’t going well to start the game, and there’s enough skill for it to still work.
