Or it could just be that Angel Hernandez is the absolute worst umpire in the majors and should have been fired decades ago. The fact that anyone even knows his name is proof enough of that. An ump/ref's name only becomes common knowledge if they are exceptionally good (like Ed Hoculi) or really beyond terrible, like Hernandez.

People who don't watch baseball probably think you're exaggerating, but if anything it's hard to explain just how atrocious of an umpire Hernandez is.

This is a dude who messed up a call AFTER being able to view the instant replay. I mean c'mon.
