What is with the UFC's fascination with putting a terrible HW fight in the middle of a main card?

And while I do think this main event will be a good fight, they really need to stop putting these female 5 round main events out there. Too often they are bad and don't lead to any finishes.

Overall the main card has some relevant fights but nothing to get too excited about.

Usually I find some fun stuff in the prelims but these are absolutely awful.

This card would be much more palatable if it was on Wednesday instead of Saturday night.



The main event is actually a good fight and you've got to test the top contenders in 5 round fights before giving them a title shot. Well...I guess you don't have to, but I think it's a good idea.

Magny-D-Rod and Dawson are worth paying attention to.

Kind of surprised they buried Maverick on the prelims. Not that she's some big draw or anything, but she's an interesting prospect to pay attention to.

Wikipedia has Maverick's loss to Barber listed as "Decision (robbery)"

Almeida fight got scratched for undisclosed reasons. Bad card got even worse.

Kind of a weird time for a scratch. Wonder if there was an issue with a bigger HW fight (Spivac/Lewis?) coming up and they needed to move Almeida into a spot.

Lets just be honest here, this card is awful. Main event might be good but it's also one I'm completely fine catching up on later.

Marina Rodriguez should get it done.

Magny's also one of those fighters I have a lot of respect for. Just quietly goes about his business and racks up wins.

Rodriguez - Lemos should actually be good. Rodriguez should get a title shot with another win here but Rose could resurface and jump the line.

I'm looking forward to Dawson - Madsen too. They're both really good grapplers. So watch it end up being a shitty boxing match lol

Pascual has to be one of the worst fighters in the UFC. Her 6 wins pre-ufc had a combined record of 6-7 and she's 0-3 in the UFC.

Only bet I placed was a Rodriguez/Ulanbekov parlay. Weird card, not a lot of good value on bets
