Benfica will advance for sure now. Pot 3 it is.

Valencia could be vaulted into Pot 3 if Salzburg fails to advance, otherwise they're pretty much set.

Not too bothered about any potential draw there for Liverpool. Should go through no matter what.

Pot 1

  • Real Madrid
  • Atletico Madrid
  • Barcelona
  • Bayern Munchen
  • Manchester City
  • Juventus
  • Paris Saint-Germain
  • Lokomotiv Moscow
Pot 2

  • Borussia Dortmund (89.000)
  • Porto (86.000)
  • Manchester United (82.000)
  • Shakhtar Donetsk (81.000)
  • Benfica (80.000)
  • Napoli (78.000)
  • Tottenham (67.000)
  • Roma (64.000)
Pot 3

  • Liverpool (62.000)
  • Schalke (62.000)
  • Lyon (59.500)
  • Monaco (57.000)
  • Ajax (53.500)
  • CSKA Moscow (45.000)
  • PSV Eindhoven (36.000)
Pot 4

  • Valencia (36.000)
  • Viktoria Plzen (33.000)
  • Club Brugge (29.500)
  • Galatasaray (29.500)
  • Young Boys (20.500)
  • Inter Milan (16.000)
  • Hoffenheim (14.285)
  • AEK Athens (10.000)
To be confirmed

  • Red Star Belgrade (10.750) or Red Bull Salzburg (55.500)

Watch me jinx them but for once it seems Salzburg will make the CL since the Red Bull takeover, it would be an epic fail now if they don't do so...not only are they up 2 goals but completely dominating, Zvezda barely got out of their own half in the first half and have to open up now, something they don't like doing

I think Valencia goes through regardless of their group... with them in pot 4 and LFC in pot 3. We might be in for some great mates in the group stages.

Don't see a group of Barca/Roma/Hoffenheim as a cake walk group for Liverpool. That's weird overconfidence.

Beat one of those teams easily last year. Also beat another although not as easily.

So, no. Wouldn't be worried about that. PSG/Dortmund/Liverpool/Inter would be a lot harder but I'd still expect to advance.

You seem way too confident. Plenty of good teams have failed to qualify in tricky groups.
That's not to say Liverpool wouldn't advance obviously, but you seem to think they'd advance regardless of their opponents which is Curt level stuff.

No. The fact is that most of those teams aren't great opponents.

It's not like we're talking about them playing Barca and PSG in the same group because after all they can't. That would be a quick way to have a strong possibility of not advancing.

Roma on the other hand is a tough opponent they should beat and Hoffenheim is not too difficult. Barring bad injuries they should advance past those teams as they've shown they can beat both quite badly.
