Sweet ! It's a real good sign for the WJC as well, they generally like to keep the same core group all year . I don't have much hope for Sobolev on the other hand but that was to be expected, since he went to NA and the russian federation tends to see that as an insult.
Nice.
So we will have Mysak, Kostenko, and Kapanen to watch in this tournament. All that's left is to have Kapanen confirmed as part of Finland, but I'd be surprised if he's not on it.
And hope they will all be at the WJC so we can have 4 prospects to watch during the holidays (Mysak, Kapanen, Kostenko, and Guhle).
The amount of WJC we have drafted is well above average over the last 4 drafts. I have not tracked it but I would imagine we are up there with any other team. It's a positive sign

Edit: forgot that Tuch may also make the USA WJC roster. So Habs may have 5 prospects at the WJC).
Czech Republic won 3-0 against Finland today.
No points for Mysak. And obviously, no points for Kapanen (or anyone else on Finland for that matter).
This is indeed what happened: Russia U20 roster for the Four Nations in the Czech Republicdidn't get to see the games, looks like Kostenko may have been cut.
That's more like it ! Hope this is how the entire season will turn out for him.Czech Republic trounced Sweden 9-3.
Mysak finished the game with 3 pts (1G, 2A).
