4-0 Canada after 1 against Czech Republic.

7-0 Finland over Norway in 3rd period. Helenius with 3a. Hemming 2g, 1a.

Both Helenius and Iginla playing much better today, which makes sense, as neither played in exhibition games so they needed a game to get themselves set.

And they have a really good coach

Noticeably so. Team's forechecking is intense.

MacDougall should get a chance pro somewhere

Perfect season this year in Usport
Cam to coach the Sea dogs for the Memorial Cup and he win it
Gardiner's a legend here in NB. He has received offers from many levels of hockey but it would need to be an amazing situation for him to leave his post at UNB where he has it good and has built an unmatched program with the best recruits in the country calling him to play. Meanwhile other programs grind it out against each other hoping to get 1-2 recruits who are half as good as the weakest ones going to UNB.

Also Gardiner's 64 years old. Not sure if the grind of a longer season would appeal to him although he's super fit and may be the most energetic adult I know. His energy and passion are unreal.

I'd do terrible things to get Porter Martone

The Montreal Canadiens are proud to select, Porter Martone!

Meanwhile, WTK in prison:

Brunicke should probably have gotten a crosscheck for that hit in front of the net. Canada is taking a lot of penalties, though.
