I would think McKenna would be right there. He was racking up points on an average team.

I definitely wouldn't call Medicine Hat average. They have a lot of good players. It's a young team.

He should be one of Canada's top forwards. He didn't do a lot during the 2 exhibition games, so we'll see if he raises his play.

They were taken out early in the playoffs. He and Basha did very well while Lindstrom was gone. Mckenna even put up points when Basha missed games. He is young for the tournament but since he did well in the WHL he will hopefully look god in this tourney.

Oh I expect him to look good, too. He's a great player.

USA vs Slovakia starting right now. I won't be able to watch Canada's game at 12 pm.

Slovakia has a lot of 2007s.

Well, USA should beat Slovakia no problem now. It's 3-0 after 1.

However, I don't think this US team medals this year. Defense is small & Slovakia has been able to win battles against them. A better team will take advantage.

I think Canada, Finland & Sweden are top 3 teams.

Hagens, 3-0. He skates between 3 Slovakia players and scores 5 hole.
This game is such a no doubter.
The USA program just keeps pumping out multiple high quality parts in all positions.
When was the last time Team USA put out a poor skating team?

I don't remember either. I've felt they've had the overall edge on Canada for years now.

Yup, they will have two players that will go in the first round this year. Another in the thirdish.

Slovakia has no quality here.

Eiserman scored but was invisible basically.

Mudryk mentioned Hughes and Vinny are there.

Yeah, you expect Eiserman to show something against a weak Slovakia side, but he really didn't. The goal was an empty net setup by Ziemer & Hagens.

Did I hear right Canada have 14 players returning.

Only guy I've noticed is Tomas Chrenko... who's 2026 eligible. So yeah, maybe not their tournament this year.
Very weak group for Slovakia this year, hopefully Radivojevic will play as he is a leader. Being 07, he already played at WJC and played really well there.
