So if I understand it right, Russian Hockey Federation is trying to stop young players from leaving on early age like 16,17 by creating a competitive league for their age. From some news on Federation site is number around 400 players between 12-21 leaving and majority is 16,17. Do you think, they can make the league soon?

Russia is very large country for a such league. The costs will be very high. Then the travel time... I dont see it much realistic. They have MHL and MHL 2, why another league?

I don't understand, there is already YHL, what other league do they need?

A better solution is to have U18 team in MHL.

Or may be teams under MHL ones, and younger guys playing pre game to MHL one.
