Tyler Wright: Red Wings trying to be trend setters at draft

I cannot wait for Mr. Wright to be shown the door. We need to draft the elite core first, and fill in after. I don't care about size big or small but dammit we are picking top 8 for 3 years and none of those players even appear to be rising.

The Red Wings have picked top 8 one time total, not three years in a row.

Rasmussen just turned 20 like 2 months ago (and was the 9th pick, not #8), Zadina is 19 years old. Don't know how anyone could make any final conclusions about either of these players. And there isn't a 3rd "top 8 pick" yet to complain about because the draft hasn't happened yet. What are you talking about?

I thought Ras was a 8 not a 9 but still, Zadina, and including this year forgot Larkin wasn't a top 10.

Why do you think Zadina was a bad pick? I've seen you post negative things about him several times.

Pronman (The Athletic) just ranked him #11 on his list "Top 31 prospects of the past five years," just behind Marner.

Marner was playing in London in his draft plus one. Not sure what your point is? If Zadina stayed in Halifax this year you can bet your ass he would be the favourite for CHL player of the year and mem cup MVP.

Marner was playing in the OHL, a lower league than the AHL/NHL, where Zadina played last year.
