Believing in Dubas vision for this team is like a religious calling. It requires blind faith in the face of overwhelming scientific evidence.

You have it the wrong way lol.

Believing in Dubas vision for this team requires fans to actually believe in statistical evidence. Unfortunately, a lot of our fans absolutely refuse to do that and choose to 'blindly' believe non-factual things otherwise.

The more the losses pile up hopefully we'll see Dubass canned soon enough

Ya, Dubas is an idiot. He's the reason why Matthews, Marner haven't played their usual-self, why Andersen has had a bad start, why Tavares/Hyman/Dermott have gotten injured, etc. He has to be the reason for all that! What else could it be? We should probably can Dubas, and then trade Matthews/Marner/Andersen too.

Mind sharing the the statistical evidence that supports Marner being paid 11m or the idea that half your payroll can be spent on 4 forwards.

Ceci is a statistical black hole and Dubas put him in our top 4. How about the statistical evidence that says playing a terrible backup goalie 20 times a year is a good idea.

lol what if we don't have family or friends. Maybe the Maple Leafs are our family and friend. Then what do we do? I guess just discuss. Like Auston says, sometimes you gotta yell at your family. Some of these posters are yelling at their 'family'. I don't mind tbh. Seems we care more about team than the players.

LOL well you're on your own then.

- The 11 million was a bad move. Marner is NOT worth 11 million. Even if he was, Dubas should have gotten it for 8 years.
- 40 million CAN be spent on 4 forwards. We're literally doing it right now, with the best roster we've assembled in the past 20 years.
- We literally HAD to sign Ceci. Ottawa gave Ceci a qualifying offer, meaning Ceci either could go to arbritation or agree to the team's terms. Babcock is the one playing him on the top-pair. He should no-where near the top-pairing, he's a 2nd pair level defender but that's on Babcock.
- Hutchinson literally has a career .907 sv%. He is playing at .885 sv%, the 2nd worst of his career. Maybe want to wait a bit, before jumping to conclusions?

13 games into the season the Leafs have a slightly better record than the Blues had 13 games into the season last year or the Capitals had 13 games into the season the year before.

But, I wouldn't put much into that because while the Blues and Capitals didn't have good records they looked pretty good. The Leafs don't have a good record this year and they look like they should have a worse record.
Also the Blues actually made key changes to coaching and in net. Washington had the 6th worst xGF% (46.3%) so I think you could make a case the Leafs are ahead of Washington. But I don't think the Leafs can copy their model as they had a coach who actually knew what he was doing

Phases of a Cup Run

Phase one - get points and get in the playoffs

Phase two - outwork and outplay a team over a 7 game series

Phase one is doable.

Phase two is doubtful with the current roster and a GM who doesn’t believe in physicality

This is most certainly who we are at the current moment. Unfortunately, our potential is so much higher, that’s the really frustrating part.
And our Leafs are paying right through the nose for that POTENTIAL!

God save our Queen, because, money isn't saving our Leafs!

Father says you shouldn't put half seasons together and call it a full schedule. Father says people did this back in the Wilson/Carlyle days to "prove" Leafs were good but then second half of season they fell apart and missed they playoffs. Father says remember St.Louis last year Leafs will be similar :handclap::handclap::handclap:

How many players are motivated to play their best against Toronto in front of their friends and family?
How big of a feather in the cap was it for Kadri to shut-down McDavid? ...with $10 million dollar contracts,
every single opponent is going to be motivated to give it their all against Toronto's big guns.
