This is the first time I've seen something in writing that officially or semiofficially said Rob Blake was out of the World Cup.

TSN claims its sources identify Scott Hannan as the replacement.

how do you get a shoulder injury when all you do is use your ass to check opponents? :dunno:

  4. I don't know about Hannan. Personally, I think that Stuart or McCabe should be going instead

I think Scott Hannan is a good choice......a very unappreciated d-man. Not flashy or mouthy, so doesn't get the press. His steady play in the Sharks long playoff run got them far this year. A quiet leader from the blueline.
I hate McCabe and his big mouth and Stuart may be a bit overrated (maybe another reason Hannan isn't mentioned more often, because he plays with Stuart).

And when the Bruins were talking about the "big" McLaren trade, and there was all the chatter on these boards about "the B's should go after Stuart" I was hoping for Hannan. Obviously we didn't get either choice in Jillson, but that's a moot point now.............

I say "way to go" Scotty.
