Speculation: Trade with Washington Capitals and potential captain situation

Change that to a 2015 first, 2015 second and Halak and I would go for that. I might be talked into changing the 2015 second to a 2014 second.but would much prefer the 2015 version.

They want Miller and have interest in him just not at the price of a top 6 forward. Your probably looking at a 2014 first, a 2015 second and Halak for Miller.

The market just isn't good for goalies this year, especially at trade deadline.

If that's what you expect, I'm guessing that you might be disappointed with the return for Miller.

I doubt anyone gives up a 2015 1st for him.

Yeah, I am at the point where if we get a 1st for Miller I'd be satisfied.

If that's the market, that's the market. If all he can return is a 2nd then I'd take it on the condition that he goes to a team I can root for like St. Louis where he can make a real run with his Team USA buddies. A 2nd may seem essentially useless at this point but the more we have the more practical it is to fabricate a mid-1st from them on draft day.

We'll see. There's every chance he returns significantly more. It's a very unpredictable situation.
