All jokes aside, if he is bought out, you take a flyer on him on a 1 year deal. He can be a great player and he has always wanted to play for the Habs. A one year deal would mean he would have no pressure from fans, i.e. people would not care if he performs or not, he is on a 1 year deal.

No brainer for me.

Edit: As a trade, if they were willing to take on, say, a Gallagher or an Anderson with some level of retention, I might consider it.

You have to be at least curious about a second line of Newhook-Dach-Dubois….

there are a lot of things that probably won't happen that are being discussed on the boards. But none of the things you have said are 100% sure.

PLD is the last thing you want on an up-and-coming roster of players. He is a coach's worst nightmare because he has quit on three franchises, hard pass, there are better options.

I can see Briere liking all of Beck, Roy, maybe even Heineman. All 20-22.
