Bruins fans don’t see the Canucks as rivals.

No interest in the OP from Boston POV. They are both bad contracts but Loui’s is a year longer. Plus Bruins lack size in top 9 as is.

As a Canucks fan I think I can say I don't consider the Bruins rivals anymore and the reason I hate them is because they created the monster that is Jim Benning.

There’s one and only one reason for Vancouver to do this. Backes is highly more likely to spend the majority of his time on LTIR giving Vancouver artificial cap space to audition young roster forwards.

I'd retain salary on Eriksson to make this trade happen, which is the only way Boston would consider it, but even then probably not.

Backes was better the past couple of seasons and is signed for a shorter period of time, I don't think Boston has any interest in this.
