The Domi-Duclair relationship helped and they played well together. It's on Tippett for breaking them up on the ice for no real good reason. I don't know what fallout happened between them behind the scenes. Attitudes or at least how they were perceived were bad enough to have Strome, Domi, Perlini, and Duclair all shipped out. Chayka basically scorched and salted that earth, closing that chapter of the franchise.
As for Kessel, I'm already tired of him. It's obvious he can't play with Keller but Tocchet is reluctant to move him to another line. The forward lines in general have no chemistry. Even the beef line has slightly organized chaos at their peak.
