Just don't get using a second n third in a deep draft to pick up a UFA D and not add a winger

Petry is a good pick up but it doesn't put the habs over the top or give them a much better chance at the cup...they need secondary scoring

I'd have to guess he tried. But regardless, here we are, a better team with a better D and a better chance of getting the puck out. No added finisher up front, but a good backend 'starter' who can get the puck on our forwards' sticks, which should help the offence.

We may not have made a move to put us over the top, but I don't think any team did. In fact, considering the gains/losses we saw in most transactions, the Habs' net gain is better than most.
