Based on points percentage, they're closer to Winnipeg and Vancouver than Dallas. They are scrambling to get back into the playoff picture. Dallas has 4 games in hand.

They can't afford to rest anyone. Things could change, but they're in bad shape right now.

I hadn't thought about Greeley in a while, but the next few days could show what kind of impact if any he'll really have. His role includes professional scouting so it'll be interesting to see if anyone they may acquire seems like an analytics player or an older school player.

So that day itself doesn't suck ... it would be nice to see an off-the-wall trade like Kane. I don't know really who could accommodate the cap hit next season though without secondary moves. The Rangers cap works now, but next year it's more difficult.

I have zero problems with moving our draft picks, but do it for a player with term. Like Hagel for example ( maybe not two firsts )
