I got offered this trade yesterday and I was so close to not doing but I wanted to do it because I love Panarin and my league has some idiots who drool over big names instead of actual production. The trade was this:
I get - Panarin and Sergachev
I trade away - Trocheck and Arvidsson
The stats in this league that count are:
Goals (3pts)
Assists (2pts)
PPGoals (4pts)
PPAssists (2.5pts)
SHGoals (4pts)
SHAssists (2.5pts)
PIMs (1 pt per 2 min)
Shots (0.2pts)
Last year Trocheck had 288.90 fantasy points because he was racking PIMs and powerplay points and Arvidsson is usually good for 30 tucks a year. Panarin had 263ish fantasy pts last year but I need to upgrade my LW and my trading partner needed a C and a winger with versatility. Defensemen who aren't elite or big point scorers do not have a lot of value and I honestly think Trocheck is the best kept secret in the NHL but I want an honest take on this trade and if its as far off as these idiots in my league think it is, fire away! Also keep in mind that this trade was proposed to me when I told my buddy I wanted Panarin from him.
