How big is your league? Would it be hard to sign one or is there plenty available? I think that's pretty fair value but it all depends on your league.

Hold off on it. I'm sure you can get a lot more than that for Bernier who might be a starter this year. In my league, someone traded Horton and a 2nd for him.

We have 16 teams

Some FA GOALIES right now

Vokoun
Elliot
McDonald
Ellis
Budaj

IMO, those are some pretty good names for a backup. If your league has a max amount of GP for goalies then I say take the deal. As promising as Bernier is and he could become a starter this year, I think trading him for a first and a solid prospect would be good to deepen your prospect pool. I mean if you can have two goalies and an unlimited amount of games maybe hold off on it for now as he could become a starter.... But if you can only have 82 games played by tendys and Quick will play around 65-70, having Vokoun or Elliot should be just fine. Hope I helped!

Be patient. I wouldn't deal Bernier in the offseason, honestly - unless you get an offer you can't refuse. Bernier could very well be a starter, so there is still potentially more value there.
