This has to be very close to what our WJC squad will look like.

Goalies are always good and not our problem.
D looks outstanding for our standards
Forwards will struggle despite me liking a lot of them...

I think you guys have a solid top 6 F and top 4 D. Plus great goaltending, that’s the recipe for success at WJC. Novak for me is deciding factor, if he can step up and produce it would give great depth to the team. I wonder if Hamara will be selected, may be an intriguing option for Czech coaches to take.

I think he's injured.. I agree he'd be a great add... a D with him, Svozil, Krutil and Jiricek is a damn good start. None of our forwards are near some of the elite Slovak's coming up though.. we need a gamebreaker.

I agree, the defense should be excellent for our conditions, hopefully it will remain healthy, not like on U18 where it completely disintegrated. The attack is only average and there is no one who is really elite. Slovaks will be interesting this year.

Finnish team for the tournament:

Maalivahdit:
1 Korhonen Rasmus, Ässät Pori
30 Markkanen Juho, SaiPa Lappeenranta
31 Koskenvuo Aku, HIFK Helsinki
Puolustajat:
2 Aho Karri, Ilves Tampere
3 Vilén Topias, Pelicans Lahti
4 Malinen Aleksi, JYP Jyväskylä
6 Salin Otto, HIFK Helsinki
7 Paaso Arttu, Kärpät Oulu
8 Häkkilä Hannes, Jukurit Mikkeli
9 Pärssinen Jiri, Tappara Tampere
14 Sedoff Christoffer
Hyökkääjät:
11 Kapanen Oliver, KalPa Kuopio
16 Jämsen Aatu, Pelicans Lahti
17 Koskela Santeri, JYP Jyväskylä
19 Mäenpää Juuso, KalPa Kuopio
20 Korhonen Joona, Ilves Tampere
21 Säkkinen Iivari, Lukko Rauma
22 Määttä Joel, Univ. of Vermont (USA)
23 Kemell Joakim, JYP Jyväskylä
24 Marjala Viljami
25 Seppälä Jesse, HIFK Helsinki
26 Nyman Jani, Ilves Tampere
27 Tuomaala Samu, Kärpät Oulu
28 Niemi Eero, Ässät Pori
29 Myllymaa Kalle, Ässät Pori

Pretty expected to give some new players a chance to prove themself and a second chance to some who where in Plymouth earlier this summer.
Most of these players will not make the final WJC 2022 team but those with the best chances according to me with no particular order should be:
Juho Markkanen
Topias Vilén
Aleksi Malinen
Christoffer Sedoff
Oliver Kapanen
Aatu Jämsen
Juuso Mäenpää
Joakim Kemell
Viljami Marjala
Samu Tuomaala
Eero Niemi
Rest of the players should have very slim chances of making the team if no bigger injuries or other unexpected events happen.
The only player I would have as a lock already from this team is Samu Tuomaala, the other players listed with good chances of making it all depends on performances in these tournaments and upcoming league seasons for them. Lets see who takes the chance and proves they are worthy of a spot in the final roster..

I think about how good our upcoming WJC team would be if we were still Czechoslovakia. :DD

I want us both strong and individual. A big 7! Actually a big 10... more good countries the better.

It is funny though becuase (using the last decade)... Slovaks would've had the D and G the Czechs would've needed. In this particular tourney we have the D and you have the forwards we need. The two teams could be blended into one roster almost seamlessly.

I remember, 2 decades ago, that the Slovaks had all the snipers while Czechs had no goal scorers. It's funny how we're never strong in the same areas.
