The 2013 Leafs had Frazer McLaren, Colton Orr, and Mark Fraser to keep the peace. McLaren and Orr could handle the big boys and then Fraser could take on the middle-weights. That same year the Bruins had Chara, Adam McQuaid, and Shawn Thornton, who were an equally fearsome threesome.

Hawks in the early 90s had tough teams. Stu Grimson, Dave Manson/ Steve Smith, Mike Peluso, Cam Russell. They also had lightweights like Steve Thomas, Dirk Graham and shit stirrers like Chelios and Marchment.

I can't think of better trios in terms of all-time rank (or foursome in the Flyers example)

In 2005-2006, the Senators had Chris Neil, Brian McGrattan, Zdeno Chara and Razor Ray Emery who all were not strangers to a good fight.

That's in addition to physical players not afraid to mix it up like Mike Fisher, Christoph Schubert, Vaclav Varada and Chris Phillips.

This is an easy one the Hanson Brothers from the Charlestown Chiefs. Steve + Jeff Carlson + Dave Hanson.
99-00 Probert, W. Clark, VandenBrusshe, Manson, Brad Brown, Janssens most at the end of their career but a tough group regardless.

At the tail end of the 08-09 season, Minnesota Wild had Derek Boogaard, Todd Fedoruk, and Chris Simon. Obtained Fedoruk mid-season and Simon at the deadline. None of them arguably at their peak, but that roster sheet was intimidating.

Remember that opening night game the Leafs and Habs had? I think there were 5 or 6 fights. The Habs didn't have the heavyweights the Leafs did but I remember Parros, Tinordi, Moen, and Prust all getting in tilts. It was a very fun game until Parros kissed the ice in the last fight with Orr. It was Parros' first game with the Habs and it was all down hill from that moment

Orr, McLaren, Fraser were pretty fun as well as Thornton, Lucic, McQuaid/Chara.

The thing about Lucic, Thornton, McQuaid and Chara is that they were every day players, and effective, and would still cave your head in.

Orr was the best fighter out of the bunch, though.

The Canucks had Tim Hunter, Gino Odjick and Shawn Antoski in 1993-94.

The Flyers 4th line around 1998 was
Dan Kordic - Daniel Lacroix - Scott Daniels.

A lot of posters are naming goons on their teams but the Jets ran the Kris King-Mike Eagles-Tie Domi line for a couple of years and they were all legitimate scrappers.
