To Toronto: Colin Miller
To Vegas: Conor Brown+ 2nd round 2019
Toronto gets a top four dman potentially to play beside gardiner on second pairing, vegas gets a young 20 goal right winger under cheap contract

I'd do it from the Leafs standpoint but I don't know that it makes a ton of sense for Vegas.

No reason for Vegas to do this besides maybe cap space for Tavares/Carlson. But they're already swimming in that.

Miller is the best right handed D on Vegas. They won't just throw him away for a winger and a pick. They are full of wingers and picks.

During the playoffs they were scratching Tatar, who is objectively better than Brown. It can't be overstated how much this deal makes no sense for Vegas. It completely ignores their situation and needs.

Don't see why Vegas does this.
Could be a lot of possibilities, a it gives them a solid 2 way 20 goal forward, opens up there cap for a potential karlson trade , and gives them a future asset. For the leafs its easy it adds to their right side, conor brown is a big loss but potenially can be filled by kapanen.

decline from the leafs. its evident that the leafs fans here don't know much about collin miller and are just basing his value off his points.

he is what we already have an abundance of, which is a weak defensive, offensive blueliner that gets easy zone starts. almost half of his points came on the powerplay as well and our pp doesn't need work.

Miller is one of their best defenders, they really don't need to trade him for another winger and a pick.

Leafs do this easily. Although Brown is a good young player, Vegas would decline.

LV has plenty of offensive depth, especially on the wings. Brown isn't a big enough incentive to make a hole by moving Miller who they don't have a good replacement for.

This was clearly a move created to make sense for the leafs but not given much thought as to the other teams needs.

Pretty much this.

Miller led our d-men in scoring. Behind him on the RHD depth chart are: 36-year-old Deryk Engelland, and two guys about to play in their very first professional seasons (Zach Whitecloud, Dylan Coghlan). I see no reason to move him, even IF we brought in Erik Karlsson as well.
