Not many good coaches are happy after a loss
Guy is doing the job....

kadri would be a great player for the leafs if everyone would stop measuring him by #
I still predict a 45-50 point season for him
he is playing too well for him to not get points eventually.
Raise the crossbar to increase goals but bring in this garbage challenge nonsense. Well done Betman
Please tell me you're not serious. How is a step to get the right call made a bad thing? Some fans

I guess it (the offsides) was the right call but "the game" has become an over-analyzed, over coached, gimmicky, predictable bore with media over-prepared athletes and matching robotic personalities. Most of the legitimate toughness has been weened out as well - replaced by instigator rules and cheap shots and stick fouls.
Watch an NHL game from the 70's or 80's and it was a much more thrilling spectacle. Oh well.
Maybe it's just me..but Babs doesn't look happy.
The Holland goal looked offside in real time and the review confirmed it.
I agree with you, that its better to get it right and this challenge rule seems to help improve the accuracy of the game being called by the Refs.
Over time improvements will be made by the league to clarify exactly what should be goalie interference but the challenge system is not the problem.
This game was the exact same as the first Boston game from a few weeks ago - play lifeless hockey, overly rely on your goaltender, and once he lets in a goal pack it up, watch the clock hit 0 and go home. I feel bad for Reimer, the guy gets absolutely no goal support when he plays well.
Just think about the inability of guys like Matthias, Grabner who are getting chances and can't finish. Those guys next year will be replaced by guys like Nylander, Kappanen, Brown and Marner.
If the Leafs can play a structured game with a bunch of pluggers with no talent imaging when you throw in guys who can make plays and score.
I don't think the rebuild will take much longer. I think next year if those young kids are in the lineup they could challenge for a spot in the playoffs for sure.
You can improve it immediately by pushing it to the war room, so the current challenge system is an issue.Over time improvements will be made by the league to clarify exactly what should be goalie interference but the challenge system is not the problem.
we didnt have pa or lupul
we didnt have pa or lupul, so that was a factor. they should get some goal scorers from the marlies at this point. it is pretty bad.
Yes he has. Wasn't his first camp 3 years ago or was it 4?
Sadly I think Drew's ship in the Leafs system has sailed along with MacWilliam.
Time to draft another one with all the picks we should be acquiring by this offseason.
Sparks was a 2011 Draft pick (7th round)...
Goalies start really coming into their own, around 28-29... Drew was a late developer, but still has another good 8-10 years left in him.. and is very consistent, whether he plays as a starter or back-up..
I still think he would be a good one year contract.., backing up Reims..
When the right call changes on a nightly basis? Off-sides are find got review, but incidental contact is a struggle at the moment.
