ROR played with JT and Marner on Team Canada before. That's probably the biggest reason why Keefe put him on the JT line.

I thought that may be the case. On a line together?

Yeah, putting your 3 slowest forwards, 2 of which are notably slow, on the same line seems like a questionable decision.

Marner is no where near one of the slowest forwards on the team

Reasoning:
Reward Engvall's nice play lately with a couple of shooters who can actually convert some passes. Good Ozone possession allows the snipers time to get in soft spots

Kerfoot is going to end up there if O'Rielly gets put on 3rd line anyway. Default positioning (need to address that spot.)

Give O'Rielly some speed and hustle players to work with, also Bunting is sniping lately. (that line combined for Buntings goal last night)

4th is a solid Defensive line..not much scoring though.

While they haven't played much lately this might be a good chance to give Gio a rest and get some others into game action (Benn, Timmins, Anderson) with 7 of the next 8 games on the road (including the Western Canada swing):
