They're related. Even wash ups can score twenty goals in top six minutes. Leivo will not get enough minutes to score twenty goals with his skill set

The question was if Leivo could score 20 goals in the NHL, ever. Not just next year.

Once some of these vets move out this year I think he would be a perfect 4th liner for the leafs.

Wonder if the fact that he's on a 1-way deal protects him if he ends up on waivers.

Not likely. If a team likes the player enough, they'll pick him up anyway. Besides, whomever claims him needs to keep him on their NHL roster, otherwise TOR gets first dibs to reclaim him if he's put on waivers, so the fact that it's a 1way vs a 2way doesn't really matter.
