What's the extra 'B' in that one for?

I gotta keep it going

what about that extra B?

(note: read in lisa's voice)

From a procedural point of view, Webber will still have to sign a 2 year ELC once he's done with his college season. Doesn't seem like the type of guy who'd have the leverage to have the contract start immediately (and have the first year burn), but we've seen teams do that for some trashy prospects.

Makes sense. Added Webber as a sound defensive partner for Edmundson. Someone to show Edmundson the ropes, someone he can learn from. lol.

Given this kid's early minor hockey experience in Pittsburgh I wonder if this is an opportunity for the Leafs to keep a potential free agent away from the Penguins and poke the former Leaf GM.

Wait. So he could decide to just go UFA at the end of this NCAA season? That'd be like if Treliving just chucked a 6th out his car's window like a used Tim Horton's cup, never to be seen again. Funniest thing then would be if Webber signed with CAR right at the end of the season.
i think - which is often the first step to being wrong, fwiw - that he won't be a free agent until something like august 15th.

Draft Picks? We dont need no stinking draft picks....... lol
Traded a 6th for a 4th rounder a few years ago. Not an awful way to move your picks.

Saying that, leafs need to get some draft capital back. Need to look at moving a Robertson or something to give the scouts something to do come draft day.

Potentially, Buffalo gave a 3rd rounder to Nashville for the rights to Jimmy Vesey who opted to go to August 15th. On the flip side, Toronto acquired the rights to Zach Hyman in June 2015 and signed him a few days later.

Typically we'll see a handful of deals for previously drafted CHLers before the June 1 signing deadline. Last year, Edmonton sent a 5th rounder to the Rangers for 2021 3rd rounder Jayden Grubbe; The Rangers would have received no compensation if Grubbe re-entered the draft.

Big D-Man, Defensive Body.
He could be a FA in August.
