While I do think Stone’s lack of offense in the playoffs brings his ranking down, he does still contribute defensively and physically even when he’s not scoring. I think that should get taken into account when ranking him against some of the other playoff under performers.

People here mostly don’t give a f*** about a two way game even though it means a lot more to success. I’d take Kopitar over most of these players and he doesn’t even have a vote yet. I went with the vezina winner. A ton of good options here.

He also leads his team in playoff points, over the last 5 years.

There's definitely been a problem with playoff scoring, but it's a TEAM problem, not a Marner problem.

Marner has a playoff line of 32-5-20-25 minus 1 in 20:50 TOI.

I'm not really sure that argument helps your case.

Great in fantasy, in real life I'll take Aho or ROR 8 days a week over him.

Yeah agreed. Going back to use stats from 4 or 5 years isn’t much of an argument about who is better now.
Marner’s playoff stats from the last couple of years are more relevant. And they aren’t very pretty.

I also think that speaks more about the lack of production *all* of Toronto's big guns have had than it is an argument in Marner's favor.

The fact that Marner leads Toronto in production over the past 5 years despite having his own playoff struggles just highlights how little they've gotten from their top guys when it matters most.
