Who do you think will be #2 in points this season? I will do a poll for the next 4 days to find out the remaining top 5 in points based on your predictions. Might be fun to look back at the end of the season.

1: Auston Matthews (47.2% 51 votes)
2:
3:
4:
5:

My vote for #2 is Marner. I would not be surprised if he was #1 in points this season. Marner has recently stated that he wants to be taken more seriously at the Marner Assist Fund, who better to help him with that than John Tavares. I believe he will play with that fire we saw in the latter part of the season last year. He will have a lot to prove and I can see his 5v5 points increase will still being extremely dangerous on the power play. My conservative guess is that he will have 75 - 80 points.

75-80 points is very conservative for Marner IMO.

He paced 94 points for half the season... With Tavares as his center, I'm expeceting 90+ points.

Yeah I agree that he has that potential this year. Might take time to get chemistry with Tavares, couple minor slumps. I would love to be proved wrong, still a 10 point increase is still a very good scenario

tavares is pretty much a lock for 80, and is in his prime prime years of hockey, could have a career year easily...saying marner gonna get 85-90 points already in his 3rd year is asking a lot, not like he cant do it

Tavares, Matthews, Marner seem to have separation over 4 and 5 Kadri and Nylander. If I had to guess

Matthews - 93 points
Tavares - 89 ponts
Marner - 86 points
Nylander - 71 points

Yeah I agree with this. Although I’d say Marner has the most potential to exceed expectations this year

The center that plays the most with Marner (probably Tavares) will be the top scorer and Marner will be second.

Voted for Tavares, but I think he and Marner could go neck in neck all year. If they click, they're going to create so much offense together. Matthews, Tavares, Marner, and Nylander are all going PPG this year and it's going to be ****ING AWESOME
