I've got Kirill Maksimov here. He's up there with Lavoie as the best goal-scorer in the system, and really developed his 2-way game this year. His ceiling is higher than many of the players ranked ahead of him.

I feel like Perssons incredible development curve is too impressive for me to ignore despite his age. I'm going with him here.

As for others to add - as someone said last thread, does the inclusive of Persson not meant we should add Haas and Nygard?

I’m under the impression that the Oilers are walking away from Hawkey, somprobably leave him off not? Also, Safin should be added. He’s struggled with injuries, but he has a high ceiling compared to many others on the list.

Edit: Dylan Wells is as good as Skinner at this point also.

I'll make the age limit for this 25 years old. So Nygard and Haas don't make the cut. I'll add Gambardella though.

I love Maksimov as much as the next guy but this has to be Persson.

He's the same age as Nick Ebert and had the same amount of points.

I don't know how impressive it really is. Guess we'll see in training camp. For now, I see no reason he would be voted over Maksimov.

I'd personally vote him higher if I had actually seen him play and liked his game. However, I refuse to simply vote a guy because of his stats with only highlight videos to go off.

I voted Maksimov for his goal scoring potential. Joel Persson is 25 and has been playing SHL pro hockey for two years now. Is he a prospect? I guess so, and very excited to see him in Oilers silks, but he's kinda old to be a prospect.

Maybe with a couple years in the NHL he could find the same upside as one of our D prospect that's in Chicago now. Wouldn't that be great!

At any rate, it's a coin flip between the two. Good to see a close race on this one.
