There are rarely a ton of players drafted out of college. They are either later bloomers or late birthdays(88's this year). A lot of drafted players compete in the NCAA, but are drafted before they arrive on campus in the fall.
Most years there really aren't, however usually there are a ton of players from HS, the USHL, USNTP and Junior A teams that are taken that end up playing NCAA hockey the year after they're drafted. I'd expect about 7 or 8 guys playing NCAA hockey this year to be drafted, most will have to wait for offers after their junior or senior year before knowing which NHL team they end up with.
