Patches and Plekky are both better than Koivu but okay

Koivu was a better player than Pleks, imo. Patches, objectively speaking, is probably the best forward on this list. At least when comparing these players' time as habs.

Plekanec and it not even close. The guy is the ideal forward. He might not rack up 80-90 pts, but he's useful in every situation and works his butt off.

Not sure why Zednik is in the list, he was trash post concussion

Pacioretty has played 2 seasons of 70 plus games in his career, in which he has 33 and 39 goals respectively.

We probably have to go back to Vinnie damphousse in the 90's to see those kinds of scoring rates.

He's a rarer breed for Montreal so I will take him at #3.

Some moderator should really close these threads. They're really badly organized.

OP - your list of 5 players is stupid.

Gionta? Really? Zednik?

I have guys like Yannick Perrault, Ribeiro and Michael Ryder who have been better than Gionta.

You have to list 10-15 different options to chose from, not just the 5 you unilaterally think are the next 5 in order.

Michael Ryder deserved to be on the original list. Scored 30 goals twice.

The poll is kind of ruined right now without him, because to me it is a tossup between Plekanec and Ryder, and even if I lean toward Pleks, it is not fair since not only I have no choice, but neither does anyone else who might like Pleks a bit less than I do.

And the thing is, "since 2000" means that a lot of people around here didn't get to see these guys playing.

Oh my God, some of you are almost unbearable

I'll add 10 options for next poll, just so you don't vote for Chris Higgins even if the option is there at #4...

He had his best producing season after the concussion.

I even think that Cammaleri has a very hard case for 5th.

He was a better player than every other player, IMO.

Good player, ****** attitude.

It was close but I went with Pleky since he has been an important member of our team during the last few seasons.

Plekanec.

Most definitely not if you look at them as of right now, but Plekanec in his peak was a 70 points elite defensive center.

I take that over current Pacioretty.
