Dare I say it, but is he overrated? His regular stats and fancy stats are not amazing.

He is the most overrated player in the NHL. Alex f***ing Edler and 25 other defensemen have a higher points per game over the past two seasons and people still think Jones is a top-10 offensive defenseman.

It definitely weights 5v5 more if Ekblad is that high, but I'm not sure how much of offensive GAR is scoring related.

Ekblad 53 5v5 pts, 16 PP pts.
Yandle 39 5v5 pts, 60 PP pts.

Yeah, I like Jones overall game, but I fully agree.

There’s a lot of other defenceman in the league who are much more talented offensively, including his defence partner.

Werenski is getting underrated that guy can score goals. He was a fantastic fantasy pickup for me when healthy this year.

He shot almost 11% from the blue line. That is not sustainable.

Goal totals are a noisy indicator for Dmen.

DeAngelo underrated again.


4th in d scoring , 3rd in even strength scoring , scored 35% of his points on the power play unlike Hughes with 47% or Krug with 57% (!). Also not just an assist machine he had 15 goals . He’s definitely a top 10 OFD.

He's not the same player he was in his prime. Idk what "done" means to you but he's evidently not the best anymore
