Time to bump this up to honor Rantanen's +50 goal season.

For me, he is tied with Barkov for the best Finnish player spot.

Heiskanen is the biggest riser from my original list. Probably 3rd or 4th at this point.

No Granlund? He's in a rough patch right now, but on an olympics team right now.. He'd still play a big role.
In his prime, he’s on the list for sure, but for where we are at today, he wouldn’t be in my top 10. Maccelli in a lot of ways is like a young Granlund on the rise, I’d take him, and he’s not in my top 10 either.

I forgot Hintz! He is obviously the most improved one.
Never saw much in him when he played in Finland..Now is a point per game player in a top team.

NHL-Granlund never really hit the next gear that he had potential for. I wish he had stayed in Minnesota, it was the best fit for him.
Granlund with the National Team ? Top 10 Finn for sure.

Might be a bit unrelated, but I was wondering when Barkov speaks Finnish, does he sound like a native speaker or can you hear any accent? The reason I ask is because he speaks Russian absolutely fluently, the only thing you can really tell is he uses certain phrases in a way where you’d construct them based on another language way of saying them

I am not sure Kapanen will still be in the NHL by then.

Kapanen can be traded to a new team in the NHL.

This the Finn have the opportunity to score 50+ points.

This the Finn is the 4th line in the next World Cup.

Not impossible.

Kapanen has never scored 50 points. He has only once gotten over 40 points, which was almost five seasons ago. He should be in his prime, but he sucks. I hope doesn't make the roster next year 'cos it would mean that there are injuries to better players.
