He's way too injury prone. His ability is on the same tier as Sid and McDavid but he's not playing nearly enough games.

Played enough games to have the most points in this playoffs that ended less than a month ago. Yeah, and leading the league in p/60 last regular season. And so on and so on. There is absolutely no case what so ever for anyone other than McDavid and Crosby ahead of him.

Edit: I think he should be even higher than number 3, but you can't be wrong with choosing Crosby or McDavid either.

Monahan isn't even a top 15 center in my books. Can the OP tell me why in the world is he in your top 10. His development point wise has been non existant for a couple of years now. There is a lot of centers that play a more complete and dynamic game than him + they score a lot more points.

My top 15:

1. Crosby
2. McDavid
3. Malkin
4. Bäckström
5. Bergeron
6. Tavares
7. Scheifele
8. Stammer (if healthy all season)
9. Barkov
10. Toews
11. Seguin
12. Eichel
13. Matthews
14. Kopitar
15. Getzlaf

HM: Koivu, Horvat, Giroux and Monahan

I think Kopitar will have a bounceback year. I don't think that Stamkos should be on this list, though. Eichel should be.

Nothing wrong with the guy Who had Stammer on his list. One of the best goalscorers in the league and was above ppg prior to his injury last season

I honestly don't understand how some people can see Bergeron as a top 10 center. Yea he's great defensively but he hasn't had a PPG higher than 0.85 in the last 10 seasons.

Right now:

McDavid, Crosby, Malkin, Scheifele, Eichel, Seguin, Tavares, Backstrom, Getzlaf, Barkov, Drai and Matthews are for sure better than him. Toews and Kopitar are arguable too

Matthews and Eichel don't belong in the top 10 based on their most recent year.

11-15 for both.

Because he outplays everyone he's up against. Some people can't see past the points but when you always outplay your match-up, it's insanely valuable.
