Good work by Tuch on screening the goalie on that goal!

And gawd, I thought another breakaway goal was gonna come off of that last attempt. Fortunately the forward botched it. Legace didn't have to be relied on.

6-3 final. There's only so much you can do when three goalies are out. Good job by the Isles to take advantage of mistakes/injuries in this game. Lagace might have to start next game. Hopefully he's more prepared if we need him in. Regroup and move on!

The 3 Signs:

1. Dansk letting in that goal 5 hole.
2. Dansk was hurt on the play and had to leave the game.
3. Knights pressed too hard too early in the 3rd, giving up quality chances against.

(Though, in their defense, that soft short side goal by Legace probably made them feel a bit desperate.)

I belive the team would have played a more patient game (trailing by only a goal in the third) if Dansk was still in net or at least if Legace hadn't let in that soft goal early in the third.

Neal played valiantly despite his injury with 4 shots and a hit and a takeaway.

That said, he did take two penalties. The reason we trailed in the first place was bad penalties.

On the bright side we are undefeated in games that don't end up 6-3. Islanders did a good job capitalizing on our mistakes and taking advantage of our 4th goalie.

You can't win them all, time to regroup and come out strong against the Rangers.

You guys have lost 4 goalies (one via trade) and are still 8 and 2 that's quiet an achievement - that's a big character to defy any adversity

No need to be down on tonight's loss -instead should be proud of your team

All the best

I was really impressed with your team tonight. Gallant has everyone buying in and the work ethic was outstanding. Good luck the rest of the season!
Thank you guys.
How has Tuch looked so far this year?

Tuch is my guy, he's just constantly involved. Strong presence in front of the net. If I get a player name on my jersey, he's probably the one.

Agreed. Dansk was 17/19. In the long run we'll be just fine.

Full time NHL'er for now on. With the opportunity he has been getting, and his net front presence, I wouldn't be surprised to see 40 points. That would be a monster rookie season for a very underrated prospect.

Speaking of underrated, Colin Miller and Brad Hunt. Hunt has over an assist per game, and may turn out to be more than just a pp specialist. I think he has earned his spot and will be a sollid bottom pairing guy from now on.

Colin Miller, I would not be surprised at all to see 45-50 points as the top defenseman on the team. He is on pace ( (I know...short sample size) to almost quadruple his point totals from last year.

That slap shot is one of the best in the league. We got a mini-Weber on our hands.

Isles fan coming in peace. Tough to have a 4th string goalie in there. Tuch, Colin Miller and Schmidt look awesome. wish the Isles had all Three. Now crush the raggies tonight at MSG. good luck this season, make the NHL proud...
