Rinne was arguably one of, if not their weakest player tonight. Thought he fought the puck and was out of position numerous times, especially on the Connor missed chance.Sadly we could not feast on "overrated Rinne", or what do You think Aavco Cup?
Are you saying that because the aforementioned players play in the NHL, there is no chance that they didn't see Laine wide open on those plays?
Take Ehlers for example – he is a very, very skilled hockey player. He also tends to have tunnelvision when he's running around like a roadrunner.
I have watched every single Jets game this season and sadly I am not surprised that Laine didn't receive a pass on those plays. Those are not necessarily easy passes to make, but that is what separates an average playmaker from a good one.
It is not on Laine to lower himself to the lesser players level on those plays. 50 goal scorers have, without exemption, a really good playmaker on their line.
Laine does not have this when playing Little or Lowry and therefore he will probably not hit 50g unless he gets to play with Scheifele, who is the only elite playmaker on this team.
Top two lines were very bad last night. Is something ailing Wheeler? He can't seem to make or accept a pass on his stick, and the puck is constantly sliping off his stick. Laine may be fast with those deceptive long slow strides, but he was really floating around out there. You can't coast to beat a guy to the puck, and that chip clearing play constantly gives away the puck. Coach should increase the playing time of the bottom six, at least they are hustling and creating chances.
How many icings did Chiarot have?
At least he has some options for the future, he can focus on his music. Also his dance moves remind me of Napoleon DynamiteDidn't count but I think he had a decent sound check.

That dance is far too fast and funky for a Celine Dion song.
Actually I am not upset.I'm not super mad about the game, we were going to lose one eventually. I think I'm always just kind of disappointed in how we lose, we need to stop flushing entire periods down the toilet. But, the Perds had their crap together and played a tight, physical game. And we need to stay out of the box.
More important though is how we pull our socks up and get back to the task at hand which is the road trip. We still have points to win.

The Jets haven't been in the lead for 70% of all hockey played this season. Nearly 60% of their minutes have been tied or trailing and they are near league-worst in Corsi there too.Maybe now, some people will realize that the Jets haven't been winning the corsi battle, because they've been in the lead for like 70% of all hockey played this season.
They can turn it on like any other team as we saw in the 3rd, but teams with the lead are never going to play like that when it opens them up so much defensively.
Yep, if it was up to me, I'd keep Perrault on the 4th line cause all of a sudden that line is producing. 3rd line for the most part fine. Switch Wheels & Connor to Little's line, and put the dynamic duo back with Schief & you have 4 dang good lines.Beat THE KINGS!!! on to the next one.
4th Line Perrault!!! keep him there he is ELITE on that 4th line
Not even this one?
I didn't think they played as terrible as a lot of people are suggesting. Effort was there but they just didn't play well.
One of Ehlers worst games as a Jet. IMO three other players were just as bad but saw no consequences. I don't understand how that sends the right signal to the team...
