I just wish he could have had his 1000th game in a Habs jersey but it just wasn't meant to be.

He's still amazing defensively, and I'm sure Toronto will make great use of him. Tis the end of an era. Thank you Pleky, you and your turtlenec will be missed.

He's been good for us but was underappreciated most of the time. Shame that his offensive game declined so drastically. Still a great defensive C.

7 times 20 goals+ seasons
1 X 70 pts season and 3 60 pts+ seasons as a two-ways center. We won't see that anytime soon.

Always does little something when a long time Hab, drafted and developed by the team leaves. He was a great professional.

Thanks for everything Tomas.

Hopefully we can bring him back this summer as a cheap #3-4C so he can play his 1000th game with us. Especially if we keep tanking, he'd be a great mentor for the kids and his decline wouldn't matter too much.

He has been an awesome Habs, loved him. Going to suck seeing him with a Leafs jersey.

I stopped appreciating this guy around 2015, but he was a great player for us for nearly a decade.

It’s a real shame we couldn’t do a better job sheltering him at C because he could have been lethal as a 2C during his prime.

Last 2-3 seasons were brutal but he was a very underrated player when he was in his prime and very good for us. Best of luck to him and his turtle neck.

Plekanec was absolutely massive for this team for years. He was a fantastic top-6 two-way defensemen, and in a couple seasons, he performed like a number 1 center. It's disappointing that it's come to this point.

We'll see you back next season. I'm pretty sure the clown suits in the front office couldn't find a center if one knocked on their door. At least they already know you. ;)

It will be strange seeing him in a Leafs jersey but it was time to move him while he still had decent value. I'll always remember him for his productivity even when he had the likes of Darche and Ryan White on his wings.

Could have been the best third line C in the league. We didn't have the depth so he played top 6.

He was very solid defensively and on faceoffs. Nice peak offensively.

I wish you good luck Pleky. I was not a great fan of your offense creativity but I highly respected your 2-way forward skills
