Tom Gilbert. Do we need him anymore?

With the additions of Gonchar and Allen on this team, we can ask ourself; do we really need Gilbert?

Gilbert hasn't shown any sign of his supposedly offensive upside; not a single point yet on the PP with 26:07 of ice time.

M.Bergevin made great assets management, however his signings on the UFA market aren't so great so far.

With an other year left on his contract at 2.8M, I personally can't see this guy staying here if we want to be an elite team and compete for the Stanley cup.

First of all, Gilbert is better than Allen.

Second, both Gonchar and Allen will be gone at the end of this year and Weaver might be too so it's a good idea to hang on to Gilbert.
