I left a few key players off the poll to make it more interesting.

Dwayne Roloson (G)
19gp, 8-7-4, .905SV%, 2.44GAA

Sergei Samsonov (top-6 LW)
19gp, 5g-11a-16p

Michael Peca (3C)
71gp, 9g-14a-23p

Jarret Stoll (middle-6 C)
82gp, 22g-46a-68p

Raffi Torres (middle-6 LW)
82gp, 27g-14a-41p

Choices are, the 'talented winger', the 'defensive C', the '2-way C that can be a PP triggerman', 'the pesky goal scoring winger' and the 'clutch goalie'.

Where is Fernando???

From this list Peca would be an ideal add ..
(Toews or ROR being equivalent)

06 Stoll would be a huge add. Stoll to Bouchbomb off the faceoff would be a sight.
06 Roli was unbelievable. He has my vote. I would see the obvious goal go into the net past him then hear the announcer say SAVE and have to shake my head and open my eyeballs wide to see the truth. That guy made LUDICROUS saves

I fondly remember that Playoff Run. My 2nd oldest daughter (oldest Ginger) was living in Edmonton and when we came to visit, Whyte Ave was crackling with electric energy.

Roloson for me

Easy choice. Roloson with his .927 Sv% and 2.33 GA. We probably sweep the Avs with that level of tending

This is an interesting poll and not an easy choice (I like the Stoll and Peca options), but it has to be Roloson. That opening round vs Detroit - we had no business getting past the first round, we were vastly outplayed. Roli stood on his head. He was great in all of the series, but he flat out stole that series. We were outshot 238-156 over 6 games, or an average of almost 14 shots per game. Game 1 alone was a miracle performance. It was shades of Cujo in 97.

Roli was great, but Peca would be the biggest upgrade on what we have IMO so he's my choice.
This was my feeling as well. He adds the most of what the team is lacking. Now if you could guarantee that Roli would play as well that is different. But I never trust most goalies to be able to duplicate performance, good or bad. Peca on the other hand was exactly what one would expect from him.

Of course the real add from that team would be Pronger, which I am sure we all agree. Put him on the backend and I think the Oilers become the cup favourites.

Peca was great in the playoff run but honestly he sucked for most of that season. I'm also a little iffy on what Roloson would look like on this team instead of what was statistically the best defensive team in the NHL.

I'll take Stoll because he's just the best player on the list and it's by a margin IMO.

Raffi couldn't play in todays NHL. Would likely be suspended for the year by the 2nd game.
